If you have just arrived in Japan, arranging electricity, gas and water means three separate companies, three phone calls in Japanese, and a gas appointment someone has to be home for. Most providers have no English line at all.来日したばかりの方にとって、電気・ガス・水道の契約は3社それぞれへの連絡が必要です。電話は日本語のみという事業者も多く、ガスの開栓には立ち会いも求められます。

What you need to have readyご用意いただくもの

Nothing unusual. In most cases this is all that is asked for:特別なものは必要ありません。多くの場合、以下のみで手続きできます。

• Your name as written on your residence card在留カードに記載のお名前
• The full address you are moving into, including room numberご入居先の住所（部屋番号まで）
• Your move-in dateご入居予定日
• A phone number we can reach you onご連絡可能なお電話番号
• A Japanese bank account or credit card for payment, if you already have oneお支払い用の口座またはクレジットカード（お持ちの場合）

No bank account yet? That is common in the first weeks. Tell us and we will arrange a payment method that works in the meantime.口座がまだ開設できていない場合もご相談ください。来日直後によくあるご状況です。当面のお支払い方法をご案内します。

How long it takes開通までの目安

Internet is the one worth starting early — fibre installation in an apartment can need building permission. If you are moving soon, contact us before your move-in date rather than after.インターネットだけは早めの着手をおすすめします。集合住宅では建物側の許可が必要な場合があります。お引越し前のご相談が確実です。
